Lone Leaf

- Turn-based
One word each helps the Seeker - but matching clues cancel out.
Lone Leaf is a cooperative single-clue word game for phones. One player is the Seeker and must guess a hidden word they cannot see; everyone else writes a single one-word clue. Matching clues cancel out before the Seeker looks - so think alike, but not too alike. The Seeker takes one guess, and the whole group shares the result.
Rules
Goal: Work together to help the Seeker guess the hidden word from the one-word clues that are left.
Setup
The host picks the word themes and how many rounds to play, then shares the join code. Everyone plays on their own phone. Lone Leaf needs 3 to 7 players.
The Seeker and the hidden word
Each round one player is the Seeker (the role rotates so everyone takes a turn). The Seeker never sees the hidden word, but every other player does, privately on their own phone.
Write one clue
Every non-Seeker secretly writes a single one-word clue for the hidden word. Before the Seeker looks, any two clues that match cancel out and disappear (a plural or a case change still counts as a match), so only the clues nobody else thought of are left.
Guess and score
The Seeker sees only the remaining clues and takes one guess. Lone Leaf is cooperative: a correct guess scores a point for the whole group, and everyone shares the same standing. Aim for the highest shared score across the rounds.
